while on vacay.

1.  shooting hoops at grandma and grandpa's- in the same yard where his daddy grew up.  Griffin is 27 months.
2.  the vegas & brother's wedding.  the desert is hot in the summer.
3.  the happy couple.
4.  hot couple, obviously.
5.  sleeping baby on a plane.  miracle.  Avett is 9 months.
6.  fresh picked berries from grandpa's garden.  luscious.
7.  cousins.

we had such a great time out West!  I can't wait to go back again.  I never thought I would miss the dry, desert heat.  But you know what?  I did.  I just needed a tall glass of ice water every ten minutes!  And it was so so great to be around family.  and those mountains- they welcomed us home again with open arms.

thanks iphone for the lovely photos.  this week is chad's spring break (OMG yay!) and we are all enjoying daddy time.  i LOVE lounging around in our jammies all morning together.  later this week we are headed up to Asheville, NC for some r&r- or not, you never know with the babies.  Our dear friends from Utah just moved their little family to the area and we couldn't be more excited about it.  happy spring break to all.

Baby Avett Chad; born 11/28/12 10:25am, 6lbs 5oz, 18 1/2 inches.

we are so so blessed to have a new little miracle in our home.  He's such a sweet boy and I couldn't have asked for anything more.  we think he looks an awful lot like his big brother but definitely has a look of his own too.  I can't wait for the days ahead.  and now, if i can just figure out how chad and i are going to pass our final exams next week.  oh boy.  

 life has certainly been crazy this week with two babies and trying to recover from labor.  we've received lots of help from dear friends and have had yummy meals being brought to our home.  Thank you so much to all who have reached out during this time.  i can't remember the last time i was this exhausted!
